Training & Placement (T&P) Cell at Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology has an agenda of fostering the Industry-Academia linkages\partnerships to create a workforce empowered with the necessary and continuous upgraded skills recognised by industry internationally. BFCET is continuously taking initiatives to raise the quality standards year on year to match the global standards and remain on the top in this globally competitive world. In bridging the gap between mainstream education & industry BFCET provides soft skills training sessions regularly to the students, which are specifically tailored by working on the basic foundation of the students with the help of technological conformed pedagogy. As we all know, Education is not just about acquiring great dossiers of scorecards or grade sheets. Education is all about nurturing your thoughts and actions in such a way that you are the fittest to survive in this era of cut-throat competition. The industry skills are changing day by day by which placements are getting more competitive for the students. This is one of the main reasons to introduce soft skills programs. Nowadays, the use of aptitude & knowledge tests to screen potential job applicants has long been standard practice across many different sectors. As such they have become an important and integral part of the overall interview process. So, keeping this in mind, T&P with its unique transformative agenda has divided these programs into two domains Soft Skill Sessions and the preparation of Aptitude Skills. The major role and responsibility of soft skill training include – Planning, designing & conducting training programs for students on modules like confidence building, emotional intelligence, self-esteem building, stress management, dressing etiquettes, body language, Resume building, Group discussions, Interview preparation and on various other interpersonal skills.
