Center for Skill Competition (CSC)

The Center for Skill Competition motivates students to participate in national and international competitions, hackathons, innovation challenges, and technical contests. The centre provides guidance, mentoring, and training to help students prepare for competitions such as skill contests, innovation festivals, and technology events. Participation in such events helps students gain exposure, develop teamwork and problem-solving skills, and showcase their talents on larger platforms. By promoting a competitive spirit and encouraging participation in prestigious events, the centre supports students in achieving excellence and bringing recognition to the institution.

  • Facilitated student participation in Advitiya 2026 at IIT Ropar in technical competitions and innovation discussions.
  • Enabled student participation in AI Fest 2026 at Chandigarh University through hackathons and innovation events.
  • Supported student project and poster presentations at the CU Atmanirbhar Bharat AI Summit with winning positions achieved.
  • Mentored the E-Auditor team that received an Appreciation Award at the Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2026 national finale.
  • Guided students to district-level success in the IndiaSkills Competition and qualification for the regional level.
  • Organized the Viksit Bharat Hack 2026 internal hackathon to promote innovation across multiple technology domains.
  • Supported student achievement in the PRERNA Innovation Competition with prize and incubation support.
  • Students of Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology (BFCET) excelled at the IndiaSkills Competition. Vansh Sethi won the Gold Medal in Mobile Application Development and qualified for the national level, while Udaypal Singh secured the Bronze Medal in Industrial Control under the mentorship of Mr. Sumit. Their achievement highlights the strong skill-based training at BFGI
