GUIDELINES RELATED TO ADMISSION UNDER TUITION FEE WAIVER (TFW) SCHEME
- The Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) Scheme is applicable for the economically weaker candidates of Punjab State, who have annual family income less than 8 Lakhs.
- The candidate should have obtained Punjab Residence Certificate and Income Certificate of respective Academic year from the Government of Punjab (Suvidha Kendra) and required to produce at the time of Counselling.
- Under TFW Scheme the seats are limited (5% of current year approved intake) and assigned to institute(s) under particular programme (not for all programmes) as per guidelines issued / revised by the AICTE/PCI/Punjab Govt./IKGPTU from time to time.
- The seats under TFW Scheme is allotted to eligible candidates based on the merit of qualifying exam.
- The Fee Waiver to a student shall be for the complete duration of the course.
- The Waiver shall be limited to the Tuition Fee as notified by the University. All other fee except Tuition Fee shall have to be paid by the beneficiary.
- For AICTE / PCI programmes the TFW seats are allotted by the University through Centralized Online Counselling. However, for other programmes, the TFW seats are allotted by the respective Campuses / Colleges of IKGPTU through direct counselling after fulfilling the admission guidelines of IKGPTU.
- The student availing fee waiver seat will not be entitled to avail financial assistance under any other Government Scheme what so ever. However, he/she shall be eligible for any scholarship available on competition/merit basis.
- The student admitted under TFW Scheme can neither change his/her Branch nor migrate to any other college.
