The Department of Training & Placement of Baba Farid Group of Institutions endeavours to promote the expertise and improve the employability of the students of entire Malwa Region. The Department of Training and Placement, being an integral part of Baba Farid Group of Institutions, has the aspiration to maximise the chances of almost each and every employer to visit our campus and hire the students. Training is a learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and behaviors to enhance the performance of trainees. Department of Training and Placement specifically understands the above notions to train the students on a rich platform and turns them into dynamic & groomed young professionals

Making all students employable is the vision and mission of Training & Placement department for which year 2010-11 has been dedicated to placements & allocated a budget of Rs. 1 crore.

The key activities and initiatives of the department are Organizing Summer Trainings in best of the companies, Live Assignments, Placement Drives by renowned corporates for placing students, Job Fairs, Industry Visits, Career Awareness & Counseling Seminars, Ideation Workshops, Guest Lectures, Naukri Planet, Personality Development Workshops, Paid Projects, Operation Workouts, and comprehensive Collaborations with renowned companies.

BFGI has collaborated with Serco for facilitating the placements of the final year graduates of Malwa Region. By this collaboration, the expert trainers from the company will provide training to the selected and suitable students for BPO industry and then groom them as per the requirement of the industry and after the completion of their graduation will also facilitate them for final placement in the same company.

It has over 17 years experience and over 10,000 people in India running call centres, loyalty and fulfillment programmes, database management and back office support services. In addition to a pan-India presence in 17 cities, Serco also caters to international clients in the US, the UK, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia.

Serco has agreed to arrange a placement drive for all graduate students and would also do a gap analysis of individual student i.e. what skills are required more in the students to make him/her employable. A dedicated team of trainers from Serco would train the students of Baba Farid Group according to the industry needs so that their employability status could be improved by inculcating the expertise in particular students.

Students would be also benefitted in terms of interacting with industry people first hand and corporate people would just act as mentors for the students.
